GreatWhite shark spotted in Gansbaai harbor

The harbor master Willie Hill from Gansbaai harbor on 8 May spotted a great white shark in Gansbaai's new harbor. He said that the shark's length is estimated at 4-5 meters.

Quite a lot of people swim in that area, including myself and people should at all times be careful.

There have been a number of times in the past great white sharks caught in the new harbor. The factory outlet causes a "chum" in the water that makes attractive to sharks.

I will have to get another place to swim for now

Stay out, say residents of Sir Lowry’s Pass

Residents of the town of Sir Lowry's Pass near Somerset West burn garbage in the main street to prevent police from entering the town. Residents in the past two days here argue for new homes and better services. Traffic was disrupted on the N2 which caused delay for people traveling to and from the Overberg Hermanus Gansbaai district and other part of the coast.

Is there a need to always disrupt and cause problems like this. Sad but seem to be part of the new democratic South Africa

Malema Suspended for 5 Years

People outside Luthuli House in Johannesburg had mixed reactions on Thursday to the suspension of ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema. “It's a sad day. I'm so sad,” said Johannes Ngcolomba, 30, who donned a beret with the ANC logo.

“We thought they will give him a warning,” he said, visibly emotional. Jimmy Simbini, 40, felt Malema's five-year suspension would not silence the youth league. “They are very vocal. His (Malema's) utterances touched many lives. They know when he returns he will be too old to join the youth league,” he said.

“I'm sure there are comrades that are as politically conscious as Malema. I am very disappointed because South Africa needs people like Malema.” Attorney James Sithole drove from Limpopo to witness the verdict, informing his clients he would not be working a full day as it was a matter of national interest.

As a member of both the ANC and youth league, he expressed happiness and relief at the outcome. “I'm very happy with the result. The damage he has already done to South Africa was too much. He damaged the ANC and government,” he said. “It sends a strong message to everyone, they must be disciplined... they should behave themselves in a disciplined way.”

He said the league's deputy president, Ronald Lamola, should take Malema's place. An analyst on the scene, Somadoda Fikeni, said the verdict had dealt the youth league a blow. “Even if there is an appeal, there will still be some charges.

“As an analyst, I'll take things as they come. He may just decide to appeal. It may give him some space. That is going to be a long process (and)... that limits his scope of operation.” The ANC's national disciplinary committee said on Thursday that Malema had damaged the standing of the party and South Africa's international reputation.

Chairman Derek Hanekom said Malema had made himself guilty several times in the past two years of sowing divisions within the ANC. Malema was found guilty of criticising Zuma in another ANC disciplinary hearing last year.

The national disciplinary committee at the time said should Malema be found guilty of provoking serious divisions or a break-down of unity in the organisation within the next two years, his ANC membership would be suspended. Malema, who was busy writing exams in Limpopo on Thursday, had 14 days to appeal against the ruling.

He would remain on full pay until all the appeal processes were completed, African National Congress spokesman Jackson Mthembu said. Police and security guards maintained a presence outside Luthuli House, where about 30 to 40 people had gathered. Gauteng police spokesman Lt-Col Lungelo Dlamini said he was “very” happy it had been a quiet day, with no incidents reported. “We were just taking precautions (with riot gear and barbed wire). We expected it to be quiet.”

So says. Rogerio Gomes, president of the Gaza tourism association in Gaza.
The Mozambican government has launched a campaign to hundreds of South African holiday resorts in the country to warn that many of broke the country's laws and their interests may be forfeited.
In 4000 houses in nearly 600 resorts to the length of the Mozambican coast could be in jeopardy.
"Foreigners can not own land or are sold, they can only use them," said Gomes. I wonder how many of these “holiday homes” belong to blacks. Why has this taken so long to be discovered?

TOP Gear crazy car guy Jeremy Clarkson seems worried but not to worried of his cancer scare after doctors found a tumour in his bowel. Clarkson 51, said medics have discovered a limp during a checkup.
The medics urged him to have it removed as the tumour could be cancerous. Clarkson said he is to busy with work to have it checked out. Some claims it was just a gag,
Some said: “It is not a subject Jeremy would mock, of course it isn’t.”

Jeremy I enjoy your program and the stunts you pull but as for now I think you are an idiot to joke about such as cancer and for what you said be careful as it might come back to bite you. IT'S the one place in the world you don't want to have a prang but one blonde driver's antics outside the Place du Casino, in Monte Carlo, made every tourists' day. A parade of some of the world's most expensive cars turned into a demolition derby after a driver scraped her R2.4 mil Bentley against a R1 million Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The woman's 2.7 tonne beast then went on to plough into a R1.5 million black Ferrari F430 (Grant Hackett's car) before crashing head-on into a Porsche 911 worth R900 000 and a R1.5 million Aston Martin - Lara Bingle's former mode of transport. The total value of the cars involved in the bingle is around R7 million.
The driver and her two passengers were circled by hundreds of tourists after the pile-up, unable to open their car doors. The cost of repairs is expected to reach around R400 000

Rugby World Cup: ‘Expensive prices hurt New Zealand’

Six weeks before rugby's greatest extravaganza kicks off, threatening concerns about hotel prices, food shortages and drink and few wealthy international visitors to the World Cup in New Zealand to sour.

The CEO of the International Rugby Board (IRB), Mike Miller, said Monday New Zealand currently runs the risk of its good international reputation destroyed, due to excessive prices for accommodation is required.

The Diversity High School in Johannesburg is being investigated after a cellphone video of a child by a teacher beaten appeared.
The Gauteng Department of Education says it is shocked by the images and want all teachers reminded that corporal punishment by the Constitution banned.

The video shows how a 16-year-old school boy beaten apparently by a teacher at the school with a piece of hosepipe. He screamed and fell to the ground. The person kicked him.

The pupil was apparently punished because he was late for school.
